This is a quality part. No debate here. I personally am not entirely crazy about the skeletonized look, but the styling is not too bad with this hammer. If you're NOT going to replace the hammer spring with the reduced weight "D" spring, then adding this hammer will be strictly cosmetic. You will not notice any difference in ignition time as it's already pretty fast when using the factory hammer spring and hammer. If you do opt to install the "D" spring however, then I highly recommend going with this lighter hammer as well. Those who install the "D" spring will notice right away (besides the benefit of a lighter DA pull), the hammer will take ever so slightly longer to strike, thereby reducing ignition time ever so slightly as well. Makes perfect sense since there's less force dropping the hammer now. 1911 shooters who have been replacing their mainsprings with reduced weight springs will know what I'm talking about here. The lighter the hammer however, the less force necessary to drive it home, thereby increasing the ignition time. In this case, the combination of using a reduced weight "D" hammer spring and skeletonized trigger will get you back to where you were before. Read full review

Changing my 92 up to a steel trigger, d hammer spring, this skeleton hammer works well with the d spring. easy install for those with a little skill and you tube walkthrough. works great with my 92 fs which is now a G model with all the correct factory parts, and all plastic parts replaced with Beretta metal ones. Good trigger before, Great trigger now.

Sure it looks great. Speaking for performance, I couldn't say. I changed so much in one sitting, the addition of a new hammer I couldn't say of how much of a change this one part made. Seeing as though I changed just about every spring, the trigger, mag release, grips, and polished both sear and this new hammer, I can only say it goes bang everytime

Old hammer came out and new Beretta skeleton hammer went in very easily. Also replaced the hammer spring with a Beretta type D hammer spring. Skeletonized hammer looks fantastic with a perfect fit and finish.

I installed this on my Police Trade-in 96D that I had previously modified to DA/SA by adding a sear and the standard DA/SA hammer. This one looks great and actually seems to make the pull smoother and lighter. Great upgrade.
