Great Overpriced Light Modifier for A-1
The soft bounce produces beautiful light. I like it so much I looked for a 2nd one for an additional flash. It’s priced outrageously for what it is, and the case is a bit overboard. The magnets need to be stronger, as is the case with all of the A-1 modifiers. I always take at least 2 cameras to a shoot, and wear 1 on a Spyder Holster. The A-1 alone is tall. With the modifier added, you have a very tall arrangement, which can be awkward. Hanging upside down from a holster, it’s easily knocked off the flash, which is completely annoying and ridiculous considering the price. That aside, the light is amazing and I love what I can do with simple on-camera flash using the A-1 and the Soft Bounce. I’d look for a used one at a better price, but they don’t come up often. I’m sure they will after Profoto responds to all the complaints and strengthens their magnetic system. Overall, I highly recommend it if you have the need and the dollars.
