  • Overall Good view of tank combat in WW2

The first section of the book is actually fairly poorly written, it is not until Otto Carius is in the East that the pace and the ferocity of the fighting really pick up, as does the book. Stick with it this far and you can get to see how the German tanker in WW2 faired in combat under very harsh conditions. Although it is a very good book, parts of it are so poorly written that it can actually be a hard read. Overall, it was a good book
