This is a rare book. Hardback editions are extremely rare. This one is in very good shape with three small knicks shown in the pictures. All pages are crisp. The front page does have someone name on it but no other markings found in the 864 pages. This is the fourth edition from 2011 Thomas J. Glover Pocket Reference. HARDBACK
Great source of information for the not-so-computer-literate folk out there
In this age of computers, I normally rely on "Google" when I need some bit of data or information, be it a metric conversion, the name of some place, or some thing, or some odd fact about whatever. I was fascinated on reading the description and reviews about this small, yet packed, fact-filled gem of a book. Obviously, it would appeal the most to someone who needed access some of the data in the covered subjects on a daily, or regular basis, but there is just so much "stuff" in here, it might come in handy at any given time, especially if one doesn't have immediate internet access. And yes, the print is quite small -- you either need excellent vision (which you may not have for long!), or you might need some reading glasses, or some other sort of reading aid.
For ANY Technical person, this is an Absolute Necessity...! As a Merchant Marine Chief Engineer, with an extreme range of knowledge and duties, I have found this book to be Precise and Invaluable...! Be careful to purchase ONLY one of the Latest (if not THE Latest) Issue, as previous copies are substantially lesser in info.

Found described as hardcover copy which changed after purchase. I went out of my way to find a hard-back to replace my lost one, and received the soft-back. I would have purchased through more convenient, affordable means if this was made clear.
