What a film,made in 1934 -way before Liz Taylor's 1963 version ( Liz in 1963 the Most Beautiful Women in the World)- but it still holds up as classic !! Claudette Colbert is wonderful as the "Queen of the Nile", giving us just the right amount of temptress that they could put on film at that time, with the new film code-.Colbert acted in 3 films in 1934 that were up for the Academy Award as Best film--Not bad--They were Cleopatra, Imitation of Life, & It Happened One Night, which won the Oscar and she also won for Best Actress--Quite a presence in Hollywood.
