Comprehensive History of Submarine Warfare in WWII
This collection is by far the best effort so far in presenting how the under sea war was prosecuted at the various locations and participants. Our submarine force was a mere four percent of the USN and accounted for more than fifty percent of Japanese ship losses. They swept the seas clean of Japanese merchant, troop and warships. Captains of the US and German Navy’s are highlighted. The Japanese Navy did not use their subs to the best advantage and they are not covered with the same focus.
