Just what I am looking for. Arrows are pretty easy to pull out. Only downside is the size, bigger would be better.

I know this target is made to be light and easy to transport, but it’s so narrow the first time I shot into it my arrow penetrated it deep enough to go through my fence...I had 2” sticking out on my side n about 12” out the back side. And this with a compound(real bow).

I have shot the original big black block target for almost five years, mostly at ranges of 10 yards. indoors in my workshop for tuning and setting up bows and other related gear. I took an out of state hunt last season with a buddy, who brought one of these in the original all black colors with white markers, and we checked our broad head flight after we got settled into camp and before we went to any stand to hunt. This 18" square target is much lighter than the equivalent size Block target, but I cannot tell any appreciable difference in arrow stopping capability. This model is about 12" thick, and more than adequate to stop any arrow with a broad head moving between 300 and 315. You will naturally expect to shorten the overall life of the target with a lot of broad head shooting, but to have an effective and safe target of this size that weights about 10 pounds,, conveniently fits into the truck bed/camper, and best of all costs under $40, is hard to beat. To be honest, I would NOT be shooting this target, or any similar, with heads like the Rage or the Swacker; their cutting blade lengths are so long that while they perform great on game, they will destroy an open layer target like this in no time flat. Muzzy, Montec, Wasp, and similar three fixed blade broad heads can sometimes be fussy on tuning, and this target will allow you to get your tune dialed in before you let fly with uncertainty on the animal of a lifetime, which you should avoid. Field Logic makes both the Block Series and The Black Hole targets, with these being somewhat less thick, lighter construction, and lower cost. Nonetheless, a very high quality target you should have for travel; also really great for backyard "stump shooting" range estimatation practice.Read full review

Only used it for about 5 dozen rounds of fun / practice in my backyard. Holds up really well and from what I gather, will not have to buy any target paper. I use 1 of those metal hanging outdoor plant holders that sticks into the ground so it's easy to move around wherever you'd like.
