The built-in LED indicator on the 3-foot cable provides verification that the connection is secure so you know that your settings will be preserved. 3-FOOT CABLE - 3-Foot long cable to connect power bank to OBDII port found in most 1996 or later vehicles.
Unfortunately it worked only half way for me and a German car. It saved some nav items, radio presets, bluetooth, ect. It did NOT save the time and trip odometers, and several lights came on for Front assist, active cruise, and lane depature. They went off after a few miles of driving so all is good. Unit was properly connected with the green light illuminated. I don't blame the unit for that. All cars are different, and this may not power up everything needed on the higher tech european vehicles.
I read the reviews, I saw that the OBD part was hard to fit into the space provided. What I did was just adjusted the angle slightly forward and it went in as expected. I am planning to use mine with a power plug in device. Fortunately, my car battery is still working so I guess I really purchased for future use. Good luck friends.
