Clamp Doesn't Hold + Disappointing Light Output
I paid a premium to support an American company and hopefully to receive a light of superior quality and of competitive value. Unfortunately, the clamp does not remain in place. It loosens after every ride and requires constant maintenance. I've grown frustrated having to constantly monitor the clamp for loosening. I've contacted Eric at cygolite support and his only recommendation is to add a rubber shim although I already informed him there is one in place already. There are endless reports of this same problem in reviews of cygolite's products so be prepared to deal with this in one way or another if you purchase. Second, light output is disappointing, especially at low beam. All in all, this was a very expensive purchase for a product with some significant design problems.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Very Bright Taillight and Headlight
In daylight the tail light is so bright that drivers comment on it and cyclists ask me about it. My only complaint is that the intensity cannot be turned down for night riding, so I carry a taillight for use when dark. The head light is also very bright. My only complaint about the headlight is that, while the handlebar mount is very secure, the nut which keeps it tight it protrudes into the space where my knees might be when climbing hills in standing position. Of course I could move it on my handlebar and avoid the conflict, but my point is that it isn't a perfect mount FOR ME. In all other respects it is a 5 star light, and it is my go to lighting combo. A lot of light for both ends of your bike!
The Cygolite Metro Plus 800 and Hotshot Pro 150 are both a great value and excellent products. The tail light is crazy bright but can be adjusted down to the level you want. These are good value lights that are bright. The front lights provide a good range to see up ahead. The tail lights are super bright so that cars can see you from behind.
