Made my wife’s old bike feel new
The brakes on my wife’s beloved old road bike were getting crusty and sluggish releasing. So after finding a nice set of new brakes I figured if the brakes are bad the cables can’t be much better. So after a brief search on eBay I found these. They included everything we needed to completely replace front and rear inner & outer brake cables, even the little cable ends. The Go-To
Great quality cable set. There is plenty of cabling provided. I actually made a big mistake while installing and cut the black housing while not realising that one of the cables was inside, essentially wasting it. Luckily I only ruined the shorter cable and the longer cable was long enough to use for both front and rear brakes. Don't do what I did, but know that there is room for some mistakes. Just make sure that you have some good quality cutters to go along with it. I recommend the IceToolz 67A5 cutter. Shimano bicycle cables
Shimano makes cables for most Japanese cars some of which control components of .001 tolerance. Their bicycle cable’s quality and preciseness is very subtle and after 45 plus years in the cycle industry, I don’t know of another cable that I’d choose except maybe the discontinued Suntour “Hyperlon”.
