Peace of mind - fresh contactor and capacitors
My parents have a 20+ year old Carrier heat pump system. I was performing some preventative maintenance, the focus being inspection and cleaning. I noticed a capacitor that was bulging and decided to make a clean sweep of all the easily replaceable components. I know the contactor was at least 10 years old. I did make certain to find this one as it was/is an exact same version on the existing. Easy in and out to swap. I also replaced the insulation on the 1/2" copper line from the outdoor unit to the home as it was torn and tattered. Fresh filter inside and a clean coil.
