Reasonable value for money.
Pack of 5 makes this a viable option to ordinary cane reeds.
Advantages:- They played first up. No soaking. No break in time. They feel different to cane reeds, I find them a good practice reed. Easy to play.
Compared to other brands of synthetic reeds I find this brand, in the 5 pack suits my needs better- especially for price.
The strength seems to be different to what one normally uses. They come in 1/4 step reed strengths and its necessary to see what strength suits yourself - it isn't necessarily the same as the cane reed strength you use now.
No odd cane taste, which to me, sometimes tastes like insecticide. Could be my taste buds.
Cons:- Upfront cost seems expensive but they seem to last a long time and retain play-ability.
A different tone to cane but acceptable.
Awfully hard to align black reed on black mouthpiece. Much easier on the clear and white mouthpieces I use sometimes.
