  • Good little bike

I got this bike for my son for his sixth birthday. He is 46" tall and about 38lbs. It is a good fit, but something just a little bigger would probably still be okay and would have lasted him longer as he grows. With him on it, he can go about as fast as I can sprint. With me on it (5'8" 140lbs), it gets up to about a brisk walking pace. He has ridden it for several hours total and everything is still working fine. The motor does get quite hot (no risk of injury by burning, because it is hidden by body panels) and there is sometimes a burning smell. One time while ridding on uneven grass, the breaker tripped, but after resetting it, it worked just fine. The handlebars, brakes, and throttle interfere with the body panels. I still have not found a good adjustment that allows for full range of motion of the steering. This is only a problem when going slow and trying to maneuver the bike (like when your feet are down). There is significant engine braking. Meaning, when you let off the throttle, it feels like you are immediately applying the brakes. This took my son some getting used to. The tires are nice pneumatic street style racing tires. The front and rear disk brakes look and feel solid. Overall, the build quality is quite good. I would like to add some lights to make him more visible in the dark as there are no lights or reflectors. He has not yet ridden long enough in one session to drain the batteries. That has only included what I estimate to be 2-3 miles of ridding at a time. This means I have no idea how long it would take to charge when fully dead, but after this much ridding, it charges back up in about 2 hours. I definitely would not recommend this for a 12 year old. Too big and too heavy. TLDR: I would by it again.

  • kinda cheap

Needs a governing selector so parents could choose the speed for their child (ex. high medeium low) if it had lights, horn, actual seat, training wheels it then would've definitely earned 5*

  • Soon loves it

He was a little intimidated at first but too to it pretty quickly. He is 8 years old and thinks that it's pretty quick.
