Great saw
The only negative is the side winder style, blade on wrong side thing, other than that the saw feels smoother and more powerful than a big foot or Sasquatch, it’s lighter, (not that it should matter to a real Framer) it cuts true 90 and other angles, I bought this saw for very specific cuts you can only achieve with a “left handed” saw or running your worm drive backwards through material which is very dangerous , I’m glad I bought it and if makita came out with the same saw but with the blade on the other side, I would buy it as well, to replace my big foots, After countless hours on every saw you can think of, I’ve givin in to the fact makita makes the best tools on the market, bar none, if all you own is makita then you have a prime collection. Good power bad power switch
It has good power to cut through thick wood and the over 45 degree cuts comes in handy. I don’t like the safety on button hidden in the handle. It is difficult to turn on with gloves on and seems to be oriented towards right handed people.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

does very well ripping up to 3 inches deep in wet log cabin timbers without bogging down very much, cuts 4 inch deep cross cuts with ease. -very happy with this purchase. This project was ruining my skill 7 1/4 inch worm-drive , the 10 inch Makita does the job with ease..
