Great sound and reception plus looks cooler than the other brand radios. I’m really happy I bought it.

The sound is not loud enough due to noisy environment. creative sound blaster sound is much better . This makita speaker(18v 5 amp battery)is as heavy as samson speaker which have excellent sound . This my lowest rate for makita equipments. I guess I bought it because I have many makita toos n 8batteries. Not recommend if u don't have the battery. Makita battery is expensive.

This is a great jobsite radio. It has more base than I would really want, but that’s fine. It has good reception as loud enough, and runs along time on one battery. However I have two problems with this radio. 1. The Bluetooth stopped working after only a couple of weeks. 2. After about a year of usage, it no longer will work on battery power. You have to use the charger plugged to an electric outlet. It used to be that I would put a new charged battery in it, and it would say “power failure” for a few hours or maybe a day before it finally recognized the new battery. But now it will not recognize a charged battery after weeks. I only use Makita brand batteries and chargers and usually 5.0 amp batteries. I am very disappointed, the whole reason I bought this is for its versatility to take to the job site. Now I am tied to an electric cord.Read full review

It is a good unit. The Bluetooth is the best feature. The sound and volume cannot compare to the old school Milwaukee Rockford Fosgate. Overall a good deal.

I love it. Really nice, rich sound output! I bought it mainly for the Bluetooth feature and it works awesome!
