Like just about every "how to" shotgun book, this one is another British shooting guide, so the guns, ammo, gear, shooting stances, and dealing with the loader and beaters on the line is all (or at least mostly) geared to the shooter on an estate driven game shoot. This is not to say there is not a lot the average American shooter can't learn, or doesn't need to learn from this book, such as a lesson in manners, there is a fair amount that is quaint and not especially of interest to the average American shooter. Still there is enough here that it would probably benefit the "average" American shot-gunner to read it and take to heart, such as foot work, timing, ammunition, etc. For beginners, or a refresher course, this book would be of interest to many shot-gunners and better than quite a few other shotgun book as far as reading and learning.Read full review
