Funny after over half a century
This film came out in about 1955, based on a true event during World War II, which cast up a shipload of scotch whiskey on an island in the Orkneys. The cast was stellar, plot and dialogue tight and funny. It hasn't lost any of its freshness after some 60 years. Well worth watching - a period movie filmed in England in 1949, detailing a true event during the Second World War in the northern islands of Scotland.
