It fit my Kenmore dryer perfectly. I reconnected the wires and the heating element worked. Good as before, better actually after I cleaned the dryer vent behind the machine. Easy DIY fix.

Seller shipped this item super fast. It was easy to install. The existing wire ends on the dryer fit securely on the new part. I recommend changing or checking the lint pan gaskets to insure a tight seal. Mine had deteriorated and the hot air was leaking. this was causing the dryer to over work, thus causing the fuse to burn out. After replacing the gaskets, my drying time was cut almost in half. I used Frost King closed cell 1/2"w x 1/4" gasket from the local hardware store rather than the whirlpool gasket saving at least $30.

OK, many videos show this as to being in the "Back" exit side of the dryer. Not true on my Whirlpool Dryer, The unit wouldn't fire up to dry clothes. The vent was clogged so I knew the thermal fuse was blown. My thermal fuse was behind the front panel and then behind the vent screen panel. Once the vent screen panel was taken off, it was just as this replacement look like and has two red wires going to it. Replaced the bad with this good one and put the vent screen panel back on. Make sure you clean out the vent hose and exit from the house. Started the dryer and the igniter came on and the gas lit. This replacement did the trick. Dryer working fine now.
