The recommend/value/quality come with a qualifier. They are CERTAINLY lower cost than a dewalt/milwalkee/others. I've used tools of a different shade of yellow (dewalt) as well as milwalkee. These are NOT them BUT they also do NOT cost even half what those cost. prolly cost bout a 3rd. The 6-tool set I bought was NOT for making a living with. Doing a small to large project but not making a living. It was also priced accordingly. If I went with more of a 'pro' grade tool I would have spent close to TRIPLE. If was in the trades trying to make a living with these tools, I very well might have stuck with the Ryobi product but whoever I went with, trying to make a living with them I would FOR SURE would have gone with the "brushless" models. Ryobi "Brushless" would have been maybe close to double the cost of these but I would have lighter tools with better battery life. That being said, for a homeowner, weekend warrior, or the like they (the 'brushed'/NOT-brushless) even for a mild maintenance guy (or gal) ARE a VERY great value, have a large medley of tools that can use the same battery (which is WHY I WENT WITH THEM). Batteries and chargers are readily available in a medley of sized and charger types. This also includes the same batteries can go on the brushless if I upgrade to them in the future. Gota get the correct belt clip for them though. The idiots at Ryobi had me get the wrong bent steel belt clip that works well but to make it fit on the tool I ended up having to grind down a washer & a nut to fit inside the spot the clip is supposed to go. The correct clip is more of a coat-hanger (steel wire) material that spring-clips into the base of the couple tools it can go in. Correct clip super easy install but also at least looks a whimpy if you drop or even lean on the tool by mistake. Wish i didn't have to machine it to work but like the wrong clips way better than the wire ones. Bonus, I got to use my other 18v tools to make it all come together:-) The bent steel clip I got performs VERY WELL in function and durability and comfort hanging there and confidence with it on your pocket or belt or tool belt etc that it won't just bent and fall off or such. I only saw 1 place to get the 'correct' clip it was 3 or 4 times the price per piece AND it said it was 4-6 weeks for delivery. It blows my mind that you can NOT get the correct belt clip ANYWHERE; not from depot (the seemingly exclusive seller of Ryobi) not from Ryobi, couldn't find it online:-(Read full review

Im a craftsman guy but... These tools are amazing - I was skeptical of the circular saw, it felt lightweight but it out performed my cordless craftsman. Battery lasted longer than expected and it easily cuts 2x6s without bogging down. 3/4" OSB? Cuts it like butter. Same goes for the Ryobi drills. I was really surprised by their torque and again they outperformed my craftsman. I have about 8 craftsman drills "no idea why just accumulated them over the years" but they all have issues holding the bit. They're constantly falling out and getting lost and that is VERY inconvenient when you're up a ladder. I didn't have a single issue with these Ryobi drills. I'm switching to team Ryobi.

This kits contains everything a man would need for most basic carpentry jobs. The circular saw is powerful and has good battery life and very user friendly with height adjustment. I’m really impressed with the 1/4” inch impact. It is very powerful and ergonomically balanced. The flashlight is very bright for 1 led bulb and lights up really well and far. I haven’t used the saw saw or multi-tool yet but I know I won’t be disappointed. It comes with one 4 amp battery and a 1.5 amp battery and nice nylon bag to store it all in.

We live in the UK and have just moved to a new home, so I needed some new tools. Once I decided upon Ryobi one plus I looked around for a good deal. Importing them from the US to UK, even paying the import duty and taxes represents excellent value. I just had to buy a UK charger. Great value and the tools all work brilliantly.
