Nice but needed some serious set up work.
The guitar does have a nice warm tone and an understated elegance in its finish.
I knocked off a couple of stars because in spite of caving a 25 point quality assurance inspection card in the case pouch, the set up was not to my standards. The string slots were not cut deep enough in the nut making first position cords, especially bar chords difficult. So it was necessary to deepen the slots and then remove a lot of excess material off the top of the nut. At the other end the saddle
was also much too high and the strings had worn grooves in the bone causing string buzz. Not what I expect in a new guitar. Rather than correct these problems, whoever did the set-up/inspection overtightened the truss rod in an attempt to bring the action down so there was no relief in the neck causing more string buzz.
Breedlove does include a truss rod wrench in the case but you have to go through the sound hole and thread it through a cross-brace hole to get it into the barrel nut so you can adjust the rod. Easiest with a light and a mirror. so you can see what you are aiming for.
All that said, once these items were corrected it is a nice guitar and I am happy with it.
