Nikon number 1 all others are second or third, etc.
It is just a different model, I do owe a P600 (red) not working very wear, a P 900 that is great, so I replaced the P 600 with this B 700 which is about the same as the P600. I have been using Nikon cameras for over twenty and I would have a hard time to change brands. Yes, I have looked a other Cameras and I will always look a others. So far Nikon has made me Happy. Fabulous range close to ultra-telephoto, nearly bulletproof.
I have had the 16MP version of this camera for years (they are identical other than this has a better (20MP sensor), and it is an absolute gem. Great pictures, light to carry and keep on hand, tremendous range, and best of all: I have kicked, dropped, taken pictures off the back of a galloping horse, bounced it off the saddle pommel, and most recently left it out in the rain overnight (with the flash UP) and it has been figuratively bulletproof! The battery life is tremendous as well. I can get better pictures with my fancy mirrorless veeeery expensive gear. But this comes perilously close. Differences get more noticeable in low light. It will do manual, but it is a bit of a nuisance to get used to. I use the birdwatching setting as a very useful general setting.

So far it's very good. I need to learn a few more tricks and functions on it. I have taken a few pictures playing with the zoom, shutter and/or aperture priority and they are pretty good.
