OEM Replacement but not a braided SS cable dipstick
This item is a OEM replacement part. Note the original Ford part had a braided SS cable as the dipstick wick and this is a more standard flat SS or plated metal strip instead. For what it is it is not cheap but less than the "factory" part in price. Because of the high heat of twin turbo V6 motors the plastic yellow loop handle gets brittle over time and breaks off. I am surprised no one makes a replacement that is all metal instead of heat casting the plastic grip loop into the metal blade or factory SS braided cable. Ther is a "history" of these handles breaking off so why isn't someone making something different or out of all metal, who knows ... End of day it works ...Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
