It does have plastic blades instead of metal, but they are thick and have an excellent curvature for moving air. It definitely puts out some air flow that can be felt from 11’ over head. Enough so that it will blow and loose dirt/leaves on the ground while at the highest setting. It wasn’t balanced right out of the box unlike a couple of my steel blades fans but it wasn’t a deal breaker.

I bought three of these and put them in my pole barn. They went up fairly easy, look good and move air pretty well. The problem is they shake when they are turned up half way or higher. The blades are made of cheap hollow plastic. This may be the cause of the shaking. Since it is just in my barn, will be putting tethers on the down rod just above the motor. Hopefully this will control the shakes. Good luck. I hope this helps

Fan arrived early and works better than a charm. I have vaulted ceilings and this fan works great! I DO recommend it as I’m purchasing a couple others!

Time will tell, but it appears well made. nice heavy motor, controller box seems a bit on the cheap side, but that's what I said about the ones I bought at a different location, and they lasted 25 years....overall, i'm very happy w/ the fans, good value.....

Nice contemporary design. Also a great color. It comes with everything you need, except a handyman.
