Wish it held more!
I love having my knives within easy reach. This block holds 15 knives. I wish it was larger . I have a lot of knives.

Solid woiod
It is real wood so it is big and heavy. It sits on four pads so it won't slide around or mar your counter top. There is ample room for a variety of knives, but the four steak knife slots might not be sufficient for some buyers. The only flaw I found was that the scissor slot is not wide enough to hold a large pair of kitchen shears. All things considered, the block is higher quality than the knives I put into it.
