I LOVE this book!! I bought this in 1986, as a paperback, and LOVED it. Re-read it, over the years, then, loaned it out, and never got it back. When I got this copy, I couldn't wait to read about Will and Elly again. This is the sweetest, funniest, most touching love story you'll ever read. Set in the 40's, this is the story of how 2 of the most lost, left behind, forgotten, and unwanted people in the world found each other and figured out how to overcome all of the loneliness, sadness, and fear they had known to find real honesty and true love.
