First, kudos to Takom for picking a kit topic that is very unique. There are hundreds of planes and tanks of similar models out there to choose from, but Takom went for the one-of-a-kind. In this case a World War I Zeppelin. The instructions are very clear and easy to read, the material is wonderfully detailed, and the model itself once built is BIG. However, keep in mind that most parts are photo-etched, and some are absolutely required for the model to be completed. The rear gondola, for example, MUST have photo-etched parts attached to suspend it from the main airship frame So be prepared. I have been a Tamiya model builder for decades. However, due to the unique subject and overall quality, I will be looking at more Takom kits in the future. I bought the Q class Zeppelin as well.Read full review
