Band of Skull's official biography really nails their identity: Two lead singers. Three song writers. Endless possibilities. Plus, it doesn't hurt that one lead singer is male and the other female. The band's debut album, "Baby Darling Doll Face Honey," is a great entry of modern British rock with shades of the country's great musical forerunners: Queen and especially Zeppelin. One can almost imagine the track "Honest" being sung by Robert Plant, and I personally think of Freddie Mercury belting out "The Miracle" every time I hear Band of Skull's "Impossible." The album peaks early with it's lead single, the catchy tune "I Know What I Am," but falls off a little near the end. Altogether, though, "Baby Darling Doll Face Honey" is a solid debut, and I can't wait to hear more of the possibilities that the band can concoct in the future. Thanks for reading. Band of skulls is an awesome band to listen to! Their various sounds and lyrics can take you from an excited- happy mood to a thoughtful and imaginative one. Their songs can be uplifting and fun to dance to, but others touch on more serious subjects and cause you to think a little more. It's an album of truth and i adore the trio for putting it together!
I bought this cd for the song on the mustang commercial. The whole cd is just amazingThe distinctive sounds of not only the voices but the instruments really make this worth listening to.
