  • Robert Taylor And Ava Gardner Stir Up Some Big Heat In Central America

Here's another, excellent, film noir style movie for any, serious movie fan to enjoy. It's got a wonderful cast and the whole production is top-notch in every way. It's all about a war surplus, hijacking ring and the cop sent to bust it. Robert Taylor is the cop and Vincent Price is the main villain. Ava Gardner is there and she never looked better. Charle Laughton rounds out the starring roles and what a lowlife he is. I like this classic flick and I recommend it to all. The "WB Archive Collection" DVD is a very good choice.

  • Great Film-Noir Skullduggery

The Bribe is just really one of the better film-noirs ever made, IMHO. A real classic! The always, superb, Charles Laughton, pretty much manages to steal this movie out from under the leading actors. The tropical island of Carlota, certainly has its fair share of BAD ACTORS, out to defraud the US Government. Great Dialogue amongst the different characters in this movie.
