I love the show! The packaging however is ridiculously cheap. The binding that keeps the disc holders together is literally a piece of clear tape. The plastic is also very brittle on the disc holders so expect the little rings that hold the DVDs to break.

Do not purchase this specific set (2017, 47 disc, big box with the station on it)! As other reviews have mentioned, there are defective discs. Binge watching, I have already found 4 bad discs in the first 3 seasons. One of those discs was completely un-watchable, the others had one or more episode that did not play/did not play all the way through. Many discs that do play now show scratches, smudges and what looks like "disc rot" right out of the box. This was a new, sealed item. This is a sign of bad packaging design or bad process/quality control as the packs were pressed and/or packaged.

I read a lot of reviews that said the discs were damaged, or unplayable, but I had no problem with this set The discs all played well, the sound quality was good, and the video was clear and crisp. Maybe I was lucky, but I got a complete set that played perfectly. I am very happy with it. I must say, the packaging was a piece of crap. I solved that by simply buying a dvd case that held them all. Because of the packaging, I could only give it f 4 stars. But it is to me a minor problem, easily solved.

The good? All seven seasons of DS nine right here at your fingertips at a great price! The bad? Cheap quality not the greatest picture quality and just like my original set I purchase 13 years ago there are slight play back problems but nothing to get your panties in a bunch over! The ugly? The packaging is ugly the outer box is OK but cheap and flimsy the cases are cheap and flimsy and are a royal pain to get the discs popped loose and your fingers always touch the readable side of the discs on the other side making it impossible not to touch and scratch the discs, and The case art is the ugliest thing I've ever seen too ugly to look at the look and the look and feel of all the packaging screams cheap, I have to say my original set took up more shelf space and given its many flaws was still nicer than this new one Read full review

I am happy to watch the series again after almost twenty years sense originally shown. I did find that several of the 47 DVD's didn't play well but with some good cleaning they all appear to play well now. I was hoping that they may improve the video from the original but I understand that is a expensive process and they probably couldn't justify the expense. I am very happy with my set!
