With a cast of Jack Lemmon, Tony Curtis, Marilyn Monroe, and Joe E. Brown, the great Billy Wilder makes the best of his comedy farces. This picture is so goofy it is a true work of art. I recommend this film to all movie buffs, but then again, how many movie buffs haven't already seen it? Bravissimo to the greatness of all this talent in one wonderfully crazy motion picture. Five stars, thumbs up, and every other way of saying "genius."

No wonder this is a classic favorite. Lemmon and Curtis opened a door for many other famous actors to dress as women and effectively lure the movie goer (Hoffman, Williams, Gibson).

I rented this movie from the library. I loved it so much that I had to buy it. It has a good story and the actors are good in it. Jack Lemmon is funny in it. it's a good old fashion movie.

Great, old movie re-energized by digital restoration. Nice to see old-style humor without the violence and over abundance of sex needed to 'sell' the new movies of today. You can clearly see reason for the 'attraction' to Marilyn back then. The film was quite 'naughty' for the time.Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon are great, as well, as George Raft. Never picked up on the reference to the Valentine's Day Massacre as a teen, when I saw it for the first time but, it's clearly there. Great old cars, clothes, yacht's, architecture and train. A masterpiece of celluloid for it's day.

There could only be one movie to watch today upon hearing of the death of Tony Curtis. His most famous movie, heck, one of THE most famous movies of all time. "Some Like it Hot" and spookily, I had never seen it until today. It was FANTASTIC, every part the all time classic people claimed it was. Wonderful performances from Tony Curtis doing his best Cary Grant impression as a millionaire playboy/sax player, Marylin Monroe as the bubbleheaded blonde looking for true love and in particular Jack Lemmon who seems to take to his role of "Daphne" a little too well. Simply put, this movie really is one of the best ever.
