Tiesco tailpiece issues.
The reproduction tailpiece is made in China. The ball end gap is too big, to securely hold the string. If the ball is turned sideways, it offers some stability, but I don't trust it. I did not use the bridge, because it isn't a very close match, you my original. They offered a 4 dollar refund, which I excepted, because the cost to return the item would be more, then the value! I wasn't going to comment on this product, because it didn't meet my expectations. Then I thought about the next person, that may order one, and have to go through the same disappointment! I wrote to the shipper, and perhaps they will forward it on to the manufacturer. I doubt if any change will be made, so my plan is to use bar stock, and drill holes to hold the strings, and place it behind the tailpiece.... also the screws weren't the right size, and the only included 4, instead of 6!
