Ok, but OEM is advisable
Magazine works. Rugged construction overall. For the price you'd be better served with a S&W OEM magazine. Another minor issue is releasing the magazine. This requires manually pulling it out of the well. Works okay, I guess. Have had 4 or 5 failures to feed in about 100 rounds of FMJ which relegates it to a range magazine. Never had a failure to feed with any S&W factory Shield magazine with any type of ammo. Certainly wouldn't use it as a carry magazine. See through magazine for dry fire use only.
I would only use this for dry fire dummy rounds which is why I bought it. I had to soak it in teflon spray to get it to feed correctly. This magazine would be an issue at the range and out of the question for self defense.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
