Not recommended for even High amateurs
Panasonic S1 is not for high amatuers. It is for the professionals. I do not recomend to buy this camera if you are not a serious video creator or professional videographer. the camera is very difficult to color grade without log profile. to have Log profile updated you have to pay $200 which is way off for amateurs to pay for. Damn fine camera
Love this camera. All controls are in the right place and easy to find. Terrific image quality. Autofocus is slower than on some...but I don't shoot sports, so that's not an issue. I used to shoot medium format film with a Pentax 6x7, so though this Lumix is heavier and a little larger than some other full frame digital cameras, is feather-weight when compared to the Pentax! One of the Best on the Market
Probably the best EVF of any camera on the market, with excellent image quality, and lenses. A large mirrorless camera but for me that is positive, so many of the mirrorless cameras are small and once you add a high-quality lens the balance is all wrong. This is a great camera especially if you like doing Video work as well as Photography. The only con is the auto focus on this camera out of the box, but there is a free update that fixes this issue and really improves it.
