I use to ride with a couple buddy's one of which was older. He always wore a lumbar pack. I always thought It was on the goofy side. However now that I am older I have been humbled and understand why that was his riding pack of choice. It's low center of gravity, out of the way, not too big, and doesn't move around. I wear a 30 size pants and the strap is maxed out on the minimal size you can fasten. The extra side pockets make it easy to expand your water capacity or to stash small things. It's very well built and the straps and zippers make me feel confident it will last for many many years. The magnet retention is a nice touch However can be cumbersome if you are pedaling on the bike. Because it's small and getting the tube back on the waist magnet takes some muscle memory to be done smoothly. Might opt for the sleeve type magnet retention system like similar brands in the future. Overall it's pricy. But getting what you pay for is (mostly) always the motto.Read full review

This thing exudes quality. From the wide Velcro strap and clip to the pockets to optional hydration this is the best hip pack. I bought one used off eBay and even with signs of use after a good cleaning it looks fresh. Nothing torn or worn. Has tool considerations, space for food and tools and accessories. Water. I love this pack and I tried a couple. I forget it’s on me. Doesn’t move much at all.
