Bought two of these antennas to install on my newer fiberglass bodied semi (2021 KW T680). Has issues with the Wilson 2000 antennas previously purchased (water in coil, high SWR, poor recieve/transmit). Added ground straps, new mounting hardware, new coax, the whole shootin match. Still had issues so I bought a pair of these. Its a night and day difference. I'm running a Galaxy DX 979 and an RM Italy linear amp and it really gets out there. Nothing but reports of "loud, clear audio" when I reach out for a radio check. Replaced the shafts with 18 inch replacements and had nothing but good results. Only minor adjustments needed for truly flat SWR readings. Out of curiousity I pulled one of the coils apart. Its super well made, tough plastic outside with O-rings and waterproof sealing inside and out. Won't have any issues in snowy/icy conditions. Had no idea about the coil lighting up until I keyed down the first time after installation. A nice feature! Surprising performance considering they're in use on a newer non-metal body semi which usually limits you to only fiberglass antennas for even halfway decent performance due to ground issues. They're a bit pricier than most but that's for a reason. I don't see myself buying another set for a good while, these things will last for sure. Read full review

Need more detail in the description. In my opinion they're actually cheaper made than they appear. Would suggest you do your research before purchasing. If you don't like plastic I would buy. Was under the impression the housing was metal.

This antenna is built very well I was running an old Wilson 5000 on my dump truck good antenna but it was worn out and needed replaced I know people with new Wilson's and they just aren't very good so I decided to get a stryker sra10 trucker and I could not be happier with the range we work in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains and I've been able to get out 15 miles on a.m. and close to 30 on SSB now that's the Very extreme but I have no problem getting out 7 to 10 miles on a.m. on any given day in the hills of the Appalachian Mountains. it also glows blue when you transmit which is pretty cool!! right out of the box with one 10in shaft the swr was 1.16 and 1.19 no tuning needed!! I'm a Stryker fan boy now will be buying a 955 radio next! if u need a good trucker antenna for your dump truck or semi buy the stryker u wont regret it! i included pics of the swr reading right out of the box. Tough strong easy to find antenna works perfect with my DX 959 galaxy. One thing about it that I didn't know was that while transmitting the coil lights up a cool blue light through the holes. Does not decrease modulation or clarity or effect the duty cycle in any way I have found so I'm good with it. Looks kinda cool not bright just let's you know your getting pass all connections and actually it is a clear indicator you have a good ground when I think about it. Anyway antenna is worth every penny of you want a good one. It works way better than my Wilson 5000 ever has. It doesn't care to much about ground base it's on the corner of my super duty.by front fender and I talk 20-30 miles forward and rear to the south bound land while traveling north so that's way better than my Wilson that was mounted center of can and higher. This was the easiest antenna that I have ever set the swr on. Took it out of the package and hooked it up without any tuning the swr was below a 2. Did some adjustments on the whip and got them down to 1.4 without any cutting or stupid looking ground wire. BTW it also looks cool. If you have used wilson antennas (which I have) you won't be disappointed in the quality of the product.
