Naturvet's L-Lysine, made my cats eye worse than it was!!!
Our family adopted our 2 year old female kitty cat that was abandoned by our neighbors (....and she was pregnant), and I noticed that her eyes were always slightly watery. I decided to give these Naturvet L-Lysine a try, but it actually made the issue worse. I was giving her the recommendation dose of "2 chews a day", but it made her watery eyes turn into a harder, crusty, brownish color that would dry under her eyes (and very itchy). She was itching the crusty brown stuff off so much that the fur was coming off her eye brows and under her eyes. The crusty brown stuff did not occur until after I started using the L-Lysine chews (I'm not sure why though). When I stopped giving her the soft chews, the brown crusty stuff cleared up and the hair grew back. She still has slight watery eyes, but we will have to try something else to help her with this issue.
