Pullcams are preloaded behind the axle flange. The force of the impact shocks the cone washers free, allowing the axle shaft to be released with ease. Pullcams are heat treated to minimize wear and prevent rounding off – maintaining the tool’s longevity and effectiveness.
It prevents damaged axle studs (missing the hammer's target), damage to the axle around the studs (from hitting the target) and very sore arms from flogging the axle with a massive sledge hammer for an hour or more on the rusty ones, but most of all it turns an hour of cursing & swearing into 10 minutes of straight forward, easy and well paid for work. If this tool ever wears out or breaks (very unlikely) or goes missing, I'll buy another one. Any tool that saves time and your nerves while making you money is a great investment. When you get to old to work anymore (I'm not far off at 67) you can sell this much sort after tool just like any asset. Win-win situation, don't you think. If you're still in doubt, think of the damage you are doing to your truck's wheel bearings. You'll need to remove that axle again to change the bearings, much sooner than if you had used the Tiger on it.
A good heavy duty product that will last and works every time.
These are an excellent product to remove the stubborn axle shafts held by split collars. Prevents you from hammering wildy and hitting the studs, causing more issues.
