Works perfectly in a Jeep 3.0CRD
I installed the sender in a 2009 Jeep Commander with the OM642 Mercedes engine and it worked perfectly. I checked the model numbers for various Jeep and Mercedes models and confirmed they all cross referenced to the same part number for the aftermarket sender. Once removed I confirmed the new sender was the same physical dimensions as the one I had taken out and the electrical connection was the same and it all lined up. Once installed and the fault codes were erased the engine started and immediately the performance improvement was evident as the idle was smooth. I have been driving with the new sender installed for the past 10 days and the car is running perfectly and I thoroughly recommend this sender for the OM642 Mercedes engine.

Fitment chart is dodgy
Unfortunately, this item is not used on the 99 model W168 so I wasted my money. A pity the data was not more accurate.
