An Old Product That Still Works Great...
These shock mounts have been around for years, but they are still won-der-ful! The first time I saw these was years ago in a radio station where I worked. When I first saw a Shure SM-57 in an A55M shock mount as an on-air mic, I laughed, but the mic worked superbly and the shock mount stood up to the abuse that equipment in a radio studio can be subjected to day after day. I recently bought three of these to use in my studio. Now that I have them, I don't know why I waited so long. If you have a Shure mic or anything similar, they are superb. I can't believe that such a simple product gives such great isolation for a microphone. If I'm not mistaken, several US presidents have used SM-57's with A55M shock mounts. As much as these mic mounts travel, they seem to hold up very well. I am extremely pleased with my A55M shock mounts. I highly recommend them. I have several different "tapered" microphones and they all fit in the A55M. If you've never used one, I suggest you give it a try!Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Great for use on drum mounts
I use these on Shure a56d drum rim mounts on rack and floor toms. They do a great job of isolating out low frequency build up caused by mechanical resonances. I get a much clearer, accurate sound of the drum and need less eq. My only gripe about these is that the air bladders are not quite as pumped up as I would like for heavier mics (like the Heil pr40 I use on floor tom). I had to put some electrical tape around the shaft of the mic to keep it from sliding out of the clip over the course of a gig. No big deal, but if there was a way to adjust the air pressure in these they would be perfect in my opinion. I also wonder how long the rubber bladders will last in hard use. Time will tell. Overall, I’m very happy with the results they help me achieve. I would/will buy more.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Not just for Shure
These shock clips are great. I use them with the Neumann KMS105 mic in a broadcast studio environment, they are low profile, which fits with the studio designs of today for video and are reasonably priced, while providing the isolation needed.
