I purchased pioneer double din dash kit for my ‘04 Ram 1500. The brand name of the dash kit was American something. The dash plate was no good. Gaps where the climate control panel fit and gaps around the stereo. Also holes did not line up correctly for the climate control and the lower compartment ( storage tray ). Non standard opening for radio
So the standard 2 din radio is 7in by 4in. The opening on this product is a hair less than 6 7/8 and a hair less than 3 7/8. In other words your radio unit just won't fit through the rectangle. I didn't want to cut into it because it would ruin the item and I ended up just pushing the radio up against the back do it is flush as possible. still a gap on the bottom part of the radio since I couldn't Center it properly. I see a lot of positive reviews on this maybe it's just a dud that I received. I went out to Best buy and Walmart to look at their double dins and they all measured exactly 7in by 4in so those wouldn't even fit into thisVerified purchase: YesCondition: New

Install kit
The kit itself is nice, it doesn’t come with fasteners to install the new dash insert panel, also the mounting brackets that are pictured in the add are not the ones that come with the kit, the ones that come with the kit are completely wrong for a 2002 Dodge Ram 1500. The wiring harness is correct. The only reason I wouldn’t recommend this is if you are installing it in a 02 Dodge Ram, it might work fine for other applications.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
