I'm not much of a "techie" when it comes to computers, so I can't go into much technical details. Although for being a used drive, the condition was excellent!! It looked like it was brand new and it is much quieter and seems to be alot faster than the drive it replaced. Installation was a breeze and since it was already formatted, my Windows 7 Pro recognized it immediately on start-up. I then cloned my old 80GB hard drive to the new 500GB, making it the primary drive and it's been running great since. Definitely worth the money!!

Drive was used and wiped with DOD and was very hard to get even formatted. Drive WILL NOT SPIN-up automatic. It appear to be in power save mode all the time? Or was it because it had NO Format or O.S. software loaded on it? I DONT KNOW? I could ONLY get this to Format and be used in my Security Cameras Recorder.

Very nice Hard Drive. The difference in speed between my old hard drive with an 8Mb cache and this new one with a 32Mb cache is quite noticeable.

I was replacing a drive with identical specifications due to disk errors. Since the motherboard had only SATA II controllers, it seemed best to get another SATA II as a replacement. I used Clonezilla with the --rescue option to copy all of my data from the existing disk and quickly restored it to the new replacement disk. Everything worked perfectly the first time.
