A great record made even better...
War is cool...the band, not the actual...I've always enjoyed War's hits but it wasn't until the release of Deliver the Word that I finally learned to appreciate this versatile band. The 40th anniversary of The World is a Ghetto that enhances the original album with 4 bonus tracks! War is an extraordinarily talented band with soul, Latin, Blues, and commercial hits as well! They were the epitome of what was happening in Los Angeles as things were beginning to change. Their music reflected that change...thoughtful lyrics, playful at times, but hitting the points through music, the most influential medium available!
