While I knew this story as a Jane Austen fan, I had not read it more than once or twice. Seeing this film was delightful a lthough I believe Fanny could have been casted a bit better. Though a pleasant cast selection; the adult Edmond was the only stand-out along with his mom being #2 in acting ability. Otherwise fell flat though the director took surprising liberties that created interest. Like instead of a indoor ball her Fanny's coming out was a picnic.
