Today, as accomplished adults in their own fields, her two sons, Zal and Rostam, encouraged her to redesign the book for their generation. Excellent cookbook filled with hundreds of excellent Persian recipes. I appreciate that many have remained true to traditional ingredients rather than modernizing with the addition of the minute. Beautifully illustrated. Some may be intimidated by such a wide variety of herbs and spices prescribed in many recipes; don't be! Many will be used over and over.
