One beast of a reel.
Goes for miles with not a single backlash (birds nest), even without thumbing it. I even tried my hardest to try to backlash the reel, and it just won't! I tried putting it on free spool to see if I can finally backlash. Unsurprisingly the reel does not even need to be thumb even in free spool. Everyone's talking about the "DC sound," and they're right about it. It's an amazing soundtrack whenever you cast this beast. I watch a lot of youtubers that has reels with digital control on them. I keep hearing those buzzing sound from their reel, and I thought that was very cool. I tried it in real life with this reel. It's louder and more satisfying, If you're a fishing enthusiasts and been using baitcasting reels. I highly recommend this reel, it has a smooth retrieve, and that DC is just amazing it's like magic. IF you're new and want to get into baitcasting. Just buy any DC from Shimano. That reel will literally teach you how to use a baitcaster.
