Replaced an Old Motor
This past summer the old motor in the attic fan began to vibrate as the bearings wore out. The motor in the attic fan was 21 years old. I replaced it with the same model motor hoping to get another 20 years out of it. The only issue I have is the oil hole on the top of the motor is hard to reach without removing the unit. My solution is to use a small diameter silicone fuel tube. I expect to oil the unit once a year and hope it will last a lifetime.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good replacement motor.
This was a good fit and replacement for the original motor which had a triangular metal mounting bracket. The replacement brackets mounted well and kept the motor snugly in place. It was a fairly easy installation. It is a quieter motor than the original and moves the same or more air. I am very pleased with the outcome. Chris B. Perfect fit and runs well
This replacement motor fit perfectly. I installed a new fan blade and it ran smoothly and quietly. I have not had one of these to last more than five years because of heavy service due to long, hot summers in this area. Only time will tell on durability. I would recommend it as a replacement. Easier than replacing the whole fan. I didn't need the bracket adapters. It went right in the 20 year old original brackets. Easier to replace from roof if your wires are long enough. Great attic fan replacement motor.
Supposedly has ball bearings, not sleeve bearings. Also has lube slots in the case for the bearings to be oiled.These motors tend to be very loud in use because the fan is enclosed by a sheet metal cage that vibrates with fan rotation.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
