This is a great deal for beginning players and people trying to just collect some new cards to throw decks together with. It is super cheap BUT>>> be aware that you may not get all playable builds from the 1000 cards you get. I got 600/1000 decent cards with variation but 400 of them were stacks of repeat commons so in reality I paid 10 bucks w/ s&h for 600 booster pack variety across sets with a few uncommons, rares and foils and about 400 cards that were stacks of 10-20 common repeats. Still an awesome deal and I would recommend it again to others just getting into the game or people who like to collect random cool cards for cheap, just be ready to trade out, toss or take a fat stack of cards back to a local game shop after opening this one up.

I would personally not recommend this to any serious MTG player. In my collection, I got plenty of outdated cards, this really isn't a problem except it wasn't something that I was necessarily excited about. I also received 42 Heavy Infantrys, 34 Knight's of the Pilgrim's Road, 53 Healing Hands, 31 Grasp of the Heiromancer, and a great deal of other duplicates. It came to a total of 277 duplicate cards of white and red. This was the obviously the most disappointing part of this gamble, as over a quarter were duplicates and another quarter was from 1997 and before. Most of the legendary's and foils weren't worth a nickle and there wasn't too much else praiseworthy in this crapshoot. This was a huge mistake to buy.

The cards all came in pretty good shape. They the were all oriented the same way, and came in a cardboard box - all leading to the feeling that the owner at least cared about his stock. I haven't used any magic cards in a decade, so this product was a fun experiment. I wouldn't recommend any "mixed lot of 500+" cards for anyone who 1. Doesn't know how to play yet 2. Already has more than a few decks of cards 3. Anyone wanting valuable cards This sort of product is often purchased as a gift, but for most people there isn't really any value in having a big box of random (mostly unplayable) cards. I am one of the exceptions, because I was more interested in just reading all the cards to get refamiliar with the game after so long away. For the product type - this was as expected, or slightly above expected. A decent number of uncommon cards (slightly more than expected), and a small handful of rares and foils (slightly less than expected - 20 ratres in all).Read full review

Good product and value. Cards came in good condition, had some foil cards and rares. Was happy to see the variety in each color, there were some duplicates but not too many. A greater proportion of cards in green than other colors, but still enough to start deck building. One heads up for other purchasers is that the 1000 cards do not include basic lands, so you will also need to look into basic land lots if you are just getting into deck building.

Mine came in two 400-card boxes. I didn't actually count the quantity I received to be honest but based off of this I assume I was shorted. My boxes contained about 50 FNM ad cards, about 50 lands, 15 rares and foils, and a decent array of uncommons and commons. I didn't receive more than 6 duplicates. Most cards were relatively modern but I had some older ones mixed in, mainly from Ice Age. Condition on all the cards was NM, except for the older ones, but those were still in great condition. So although I didn't get exactly what I expected I am actually happy enough to purchase this again.
