    Great extra capacity magazine

A perfect fit designed specifically for Taurus PT709 Slim owners. A well made magazine that provides the desired extra capacity, while extending the pistol grip. The loading action is smooth and it has a strong spring. I would highly recommend this magazine to 709 owners.

    I'm just not sure....

Ok...loaded mag let it sit for about 3 days. Put mag in gun cycled gun 4 times had 2 failure to load. Put in some target rounds shot 2 rounds had a FTL. Cleared gun fired one round had another FTL. So I switched to SIG rounds...thats normally what I keep in the mag for defense. Shot 9 rounds the 10th failed to load. I'm gonna try again in a few days to see what happens. Right now I'm on the fence about this cause I certainly don't want to put my life on the line due to mag issues. In the time that I've had this gun I've only had 1 FTF with the stock mag. Well over a hundred rounds. I will update this If anything changes the next time I go shooting

  • MAGS DON'T FIT!

    1. The product was exactly what I ordered. 2. My semiautomatic pistol IS a Taurus Model PT709 SLIM. 3. The product would not fit into my semiautomatic. 4. I have spent the last three weeks filing down these magazines.. my hands are getting blistered! 5. The magazines now go IN.. with a little help. But the release button DOES NOT release the magazine. 6. What do you think about that?

...nice, loads easy , though the extra spring tension pushes the clip down a bit. Ilike it it's now my main clip, still tactical. PEACE GRD

  • Decent quality and fits the need for capacity and grip!

Decent quality, it does make concealment more challenging. But the grip and hand feel is far better with the extension. Clip spring is super strong, may need a loading tool to help load clip, hopefully it will relax a little after some time.

  • Had to tweak it a little

As I received the magasine, the gun would not pick up the round...It would jam halfway into the chamber... I have compared with the OEM magazine and noticed that the angle of the top round was different than the Pro Mag magazine... I just bent the sides a little to increase the angle and it worked just fine!

  • Superb upgrade. Added protection!

Everybody on Youtube says promag has weak springs! That may be so for the 32 round mags but certainly not these "post-2009" 10 round mags. I haven't put any hollow tips through it yet; but fmj"s feed well and when its empty it trips the slide lock like all mags are supposed to. I was actually impressed to see it work flawlessly. Hey these are $15-$20 dollars cheaper than factory mags and they hold 3 additional rounds. I'd definitely recommend to anyone! People really should research products for themselves rather than take someone's opinion. Real talk!

  • Maybe maybe not !!

This magazine jammed/stove piped every shot. Then I compared it to a factory magazine and seen the the bullet was riding lower in the mag. So I had to "Very carefully bent the upper feed lips out a little bit". After that It worked perfect. So I would buy it if you are capable of adjusting thing to work properly. Now that it is do I LOVE IT.

  • Not worth the money

Plastic follower would not ride freely in the mag w/o the spring installed. The follower would hang up halfway up/down the mag. This is my second ProMag that has multiple failure to feed issues. Also cannot cycle hp rounds. That may be due to rounds itself and not necessarily the mag. Have zero issues w/ factory mags and hp ammo.

  • Good product, solid construction, easy to clean and work on.

springs are very strong and needed to be worked in even after cutting them down but its better than being to weak I guess
