Does the job
These "caps" suppress "electrical noise" from the alternator that could interfere with other electronics, like the radio. The wire broke off mine and this replacement does the job. I didn't notice when I ordered but the ground tab on these is on the side vs my original broken cap which had the tab on the end. Exactly what it is supposed to be
