Does what it says it does
It does what it says it does. I needed this for a NAS system built on an old computer from ~2005 before gigabit ethernet ports were standard on motherboards. I also wanted it with this old PCI standard because I didn't want to use up my only PCI-E slot on something I didn't need to. The server was running Ubuntu and getting it setup was a little difficult without a lot of experience, and the readme that came with it was outdated and needed some tweaking, but I eventually got it working. If you're in the same position as me, I'd recommend putting the network adapter in the system before installing an operating system like Ubuntu server so that when the operating system installs, it just sets up the network card itself.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Annoying for win 98se
Found this fairly annoying to install onto windows 98se. Got a blue screen at startup saying this card needs vfat when using rosewill's (actual a realtek) 98se driver. Uninstalled the driver and then had windows do it from a driver select installation to get it working properly. Probably better cards for that era if that's what you're going for with this.
